The Drop In: A Pause For Reflection

Edition 012

Edition 012 — Give yourself space and margin

Yesterday’s events are still settling in. In moments like these, it feels tone-deaf to keep talking about productivity, optimization, or even flow. Phones and focus can wait until next week. As well, on the anniversary of 9/11, this feels like a good a time as any for an emotional and well-being check-in.

Instead of pursuit of flow, I want to pause with you.
No matter what you’re feeling: grief, anger, fear, or even numbness, allow yourself to process it. Don’t rush past your emotions; give them space.

And then, remember the most important truth we often overlook in the chase for performance: relationships are everything. The ultimate life hack isn’t a tool, technique, or routine. It’s connection.

So today, before the next meeting, the next scroll, the next “to-do”, stop and reach out to someone you love. Tell them. Show them. Don’t wait for the perfect moment, because that moment is already here.

We never know how much time we have. But we do know this: when it’s all said and done, our relationships will matter most.

Take care of yourself. Take care of each other.
